How do our products represent social groups or issues?   Our products of a post card, film, and our advertisement represent a social group such as hikers, nature enjoyers/ walkers, another social group such as law enforcement. Our products can also highlight issues like murder and can highlight an issue such as people not being situationally aware. To begin with a social group such as nature enthusiasts are involved in our film through our main character a jogger jogging in the woods that simply wanted to go for a nice jog. Our victim in the film was also simply a nature enthusiasts and wanted to go for a nice nature jog but evidently was murdered. The killer hiding the body can leave behind environmental clues  such as a drag mark through the deep grass and muddy foot prints. I uploaded the raw footage and audio files. Organized scenes in a structured timeline. Trimmed excess footage for narrative flow. Smoothed cuts with transitions. Experimented with pacing techniques. Adjusted color grading for mood. Incorporated visual effects for emphasis. Fine-tuned audio for impact. Used text overlays for dialogue. Explored various camera angles. Considered flashback sequences for context. Employed split-screen effects for action. Tested different editing styles. Collaborated with others for feedback. Focused on pacing and rhythm. Manipulated audio for effect. Corrected color for consistency. Incorporated visual storytelling elements. Aimed for balanced engagement. Reviewed for continuity and coherence. We will meet at Dania beach nature trails and park. Then we have a 20 minute walk to our filming location. Once arrived w can start and get into costume. We can also plan on what bushes' we can use that the camera can barely see us on the trail. The trail is deeply vegetated with mangroves and animals. Most animals there are crabs and lizards almost everywhere on the trail. A popular breading ground for them as its prefect environment. The plan is to show these animals on film that would decompose the body. The killer hides the body so the animals can decompose it. Our dragging body scene. Some of the shots we will use in our film would be long shots, high angles, medium close ups, and establishing shots. The long shots will be used to show the films landscapes and our environment of the film. The high angles will be used to show the vulnerability of Rhys and the innocent jogger. I feel it will also show the power of the killer. Medium close up will be used too get the facial expressions and emotions on film. The establishing shot will give context and location. A medium close up could also be used for intense conversations really capturing the emotion of fear. High angles during the action scenes will be utilized to show the chases. the chases we want to really capture the intenseness and raw emotions one may really be feeling. In our small team, I handle the editing part. It's not just about joining clips; it's about making them fit well and look good.First, I watch all the footage we have. I pick out the best bits that match our story.Then, I use editing software to put everything together. I cut, trim, and arrange the clips to tell our story smoothly.Transitions matter too. I try out different effects to make sure scenes flow nicely.I also check the sound, making sure voices are clear, music sets the mood, and sound effects fit.While I'm busy editing, another team member works on the script.   Between me and my group our great minds have came up with many ideas. These ideas spread over a wide range of random but quite interesting ideas for our movie. One of half penny's ideas consisted of sing my puppy dog to film similar to what we did last year. His idea is to have the dog run away and generating a plot and characters and character development through his story. Me and Jackson did have some disagreements with this idea because it would be quite impractical to  transport and train the dog to film in this. Jackson had many idea even though many we shut down but one we all agreed upon was his idea of splitting up the work not much about the actual film.  Welcome back to the blog! This Thursday me and my group made a plan for this weekend to start our filming. On Thursday me Shawn and Jackson had a discussion more of a brain storm about all our potential ideas. So far the plan is to meet over at Jackson’s house around noon. At noon we plan on picking up Shawn and taking him back. Following this we do need an extra man for our video. The extra for our video would be picked up Saturday morning by me. Hey guys, we are back from break and planning continues. This film is unlike any work from last year and it is setting in. Jackson and sean are juniors who have a lot going on. while Sean D is a senior ready to get his diploma which is his last credit and ours too.  Unlike last year it is simpler as our location is right by Jackson's house, it's a forest park where we can film and use the natural setting. We plan to try and start production in mid-February and get ahead of it as junior year is busy but you never know. Our backup time is right after the school SAT as we would no longer worry about that. Today I  watched a video about making short films. The video mentioned that when writing, I need to keep in mind what we can pull off. I shouldn't write in things that are not possible when thinking realistically. In other words, anything too expensive should be scraped from the film. The video also discussed the theme and that it should guide the story. Whatever I want out of the story should be kept in mind while writing. It also mentioned that with stories where we want the audience to be surprised, we should not use our first idea. This way the obvious idea will not be given and they will be genuinely surprised by things. It emphasizes that casting the right people is also very important. They need to be able to look the part they are playing. They need to fit the character as well. This will not be a problem for my group.   The plot is essential in this film. A barber working in a highway barbershop is caught in a deadly situation when he realizes that his first customer of the day isn’t who he expected him to be. Every frame in the film has a moment. This made the film so much better. The acting was very exceptional. Along with this, the film had amazing direction. Some of the moments in the film give you that active feeling of character, which is supported by smooth editing. The tension-building scene also helped to create a better experience while watching the film. The film was put together very well in all aspects. The camera angles made you feel as if you were almost living through the scenes. The scene in which he was drowning was especially enjoyable to watch. This video is all about a family; while the two daughters are shown in bed, their interest is piqued when they hear a mystery noise coming from their home. It turns out that their mother has gone insane, leaving these two daughters to struggle for their own safety and survival against their mother, who is out for blood. The most prevalent camera angle shown in this film was a medium angle camera shot, which mostly focuses on the upper half of one of the daughter's bodies as we watch her attempt to solve the sound's riddle. Tracking shots were also prevalent, as we followed the same daughter getting up and walking towards the commotion as she investigated; when she realized her mother has killed her father, the tracking camera shifted back to the daughter. These tracking shots give the impression that everything was shot in one long take as if the audience were there by the daughter. The opening scene of the short film Other Side of the Box starts with a stormy, gloomy night. A man with a scared look on his face is driving all around the city. In the rearview mirror, we catch views of a shadowy figure who looks to be following him. After pulling up to an empty warehouse, the man quickly enters and locks the door. The figure seems to have already found him despite his attempt to find a place to hide. When he hears footsteps he turns and sees the dark figure waiting in the doorway. With a smile on his face the figure approaches and stands above him as he fell and hot the ground while trying to run. He begs for his life yet the figure lungers forward pulling out a knife. First, we looked at thrillers. I was very intrigued by the elements. As I began thinking I was familiar with them in films I'd seen before. But as I kept thinking back to our pitch I felt that it didn't quite fit. The mis-en-scene is usually dramatic and sometimes gory. There's lots of suspense and anticipation. That's not the mood we want to create with this film. So we decided not to use this genre. Then came Comedy. At first, the elements seem very promising. The camera angles were definitely within our ability. However, when we got to sounds and dialogue we didn't think it would be necessary to make jokes all the time, especially on such a serious matter. I felt it would be too corny for our idea.
