Intro Blog

 Going into this project I am excited to be working with music I like listening and digesting the lyrics of all kinds of music. Based on my last project I've decided to improve any things that I have performed poorly on such as editing I found it very difficult. I also found the last project interesting and fun, to go to the beach with friends that I've recently met. During this project me and my group mate plan on becoming better with editing and general filming skills. Based off of my last intro blog I have definitely improved in almost everyway. Some things I have improved in were editing, and story telling, as well as brainstorming ideas. Based on my last project going out and spending time outside filming our project was great. Some mistakes we made were poor panning and execution. Myself and the group ended up scrambling to acquire our product for the commercial. My past experience was definitely a learning process. After our commercial was over we took time to reflect and prepare for the next project. Discussing and panning was crucial in the last project because we all need to be on the same page which means we need to improve our communication skills. After reflecting on our communication dexterity we should definitely work harder to acquire better communication. The group and I also took time to watch our commercial and criticize ourselves on parts of the commercial we believed we did not preform well in. Each person in the group discussed and identified the parts of the commercial that the group preformed poorly on. Not only did we discuss our poorly preformed shots, some of them at least, we then attempted to identify our editing skills and the types of sound we used. This was beneficial to us because we took the time to practice our editing and catch up with the editing "slang". Some words we identified in the editing slang were, OCE, which stands for one clip edit, EIP, Editing in progress. These words helped us identify certain clips and what a true editor would call them. During our editing process we realized we were almost clueless. The process of editing has improved my skills and I now feel confident that I will be able to edit an entire video!

   The opening credits and title sequence of my film will most likely be in a font called "Jumble." My group and I decided to choose this font of them all since we think it fits the overall mood and genre the best. "Jumble" has a messy, cartoony look to it making it perfect for a comedy. The other options that my group and I looked at were, "Aldhabi," "Ahoroni," and "Ink Free." Aldhabi consists of a roman like style font, which would seems to be more on the sophisticated end. The "Ahoroni" font is a bold caps locked font which started to fit the comedy feel, but could be better such as spacing between lettering. "Ink Free" is a messy font that looks drawn in pencil, it has a very cartoony feel to it which was going to be our alternate font. Planning Blog Scripts

      The movie begins with a tracking shot following a young dog wondering through out the woods. Cutting to a scene where character 1 is convincing character 2 that it will be wise to get a puppy. Character 2 denies and thinks its a bad idea financially and mostly for the characters mental health and sanity. This dialogue will be followed with side shots and tracking as character 2 is frantically pacing convincing their partner/ friend have not decided about their relshonship yet because we aren't sure who will be acting. Following character 2 is convinced this dog will be the end of him because of  all the trouble of having a puppy. Character 2 is mainly worried about the house being destroyed and having to take care of it. The next scene is a tracking shot of a car headed out north to see the new born puppy's.  I am excited to be back and working with the same group because of our ability to work together. This time around me and my group may add an extra person to help us succeed with editing. We want someone good at editing because of their ability to do what we can't do. Since preforming well on the commercial we sinned changed around a few people because of the poor editing skills. The music video also went well because of our new group mate that was alone bed\fore our project ha started. Since our group is well put together, we started organizing our project better because of new group mates that forced their habits on us. Thus, was beneficial to us because of the new habits that were good. These habits included good organization and advanced vocabulary towards this project.
