Production Blog: Planning
For the planning of our commercial we started by brainstorming and studying previous coca cola advertisements. During the week is usually when I don't have any free time. Me and my group-mate compromised and decided on a Thursday after school. We also wanted to use some props like Mexican coca cola to show a more beauty vibe. Some costumes we wore were bathing suits on the beach. And sunglasses and beach atire. We decided to discuss our plan for a day and move onto filming and then compete it in a total of 4 days. A list of locations were the beach and or a parking garage. For example one of the scenes will portray a castaway long ashore line to show how exhausted and dehydrated he is demonstrate them being tired and unconscious. Another scene will show a group mate setting up a towel and area on the beach. we decided to meet up before filming. Since we wanted to meet up up and discuss final shots and get prepared. After school on Thursday we decided to stop and buy the coca cola for production. We specifically decided to purchase the coke in the tall glass. Our back up plan had a few pre cautions like if it rained we would relocate down the beach or another day. Other parts of outback up plan were to have friends come with us incase both people needed to be in the same shot. If the beach were also busy we would've moved very far down where not many people are. If hurricane Ian were to intervene we would have to postpone production. Another solution to hurricane Ian would be to use a green screen. Another option would be to change plans about filming outside.
