Production Blog: Editor

The editing is here.

Its done!!  We finally finished filming everything. We were able to get everything done on the Thursday afternoon. My partner and I went through all the videos that we took right after we finished filming. We did this to make sure we got enough angles, and clear shots that were needed to make our film the best. Of course we have now have plenty of clips that we have to pick through. I deleted the extra footages and cropped the unnecessary stuff out that we didn't need. Since I was in the sequence, our friend filmed it, we decided we should edit it together. I uploaded everything onto iMovie in order that way it was easier to edit it all together, allowing it to mesh well.  Before any cutting or transitions were done it was a total of 4 minutes long. Once I cut down the scenes and add transition, I got it down to 3 minutes. However, the film needs to be no more than 2 minutes, and still have the specific "suspense" ending. I am going to go back and reedit the scenes shorter but making sure to still keep the storyline. I will also edit the title scene at the beginning, unlike the traditional way, as we thought it looked best in our perspectives. We used bubble lettering for the comedy purpose as that is what genre our film is under. In addition, the music and side effects we edited into the film during different parts definitely adds a laugh for our audience. I did end the movie with the perfect transition allowing the audience to be able to have some idea what comes next. We want the final draft of the movie to be done by Friday so we don't have to worry about it uploading late or doing it on the weekend. Im very excited that its done after the year, but sad as well. I had a lot of fun participating in this class, and I really enjoyed filming my introduction of the film. This was just a great experience overall.
